Just a reliable pick for strolling in Eastbourne with fantastic value for money. The sea view from the room was a pleasant surprise! Be prepared for some old decor and bring your own snacks.

Great location but lacks charm

The hotel’s location right on the seafront was splendid, allowing for easy morning walks along the beach. The rooms offered self-service tea/coffee facilities for a cozy touch.

The experience was marred by outdated facilities and a feeling of neglect. The cleanliness in some areas left much to be desired, especially in the stairways and lift, which felt rather ancient.

I must say, the lobby was quaint, though I felt quite underdressed among the, shall we say, more peculiar guests—terrifying! Then, when I spotted dirt and a hole in the wardrobe of my room, I thought, surely a complimentary drink would just be fair due to the horrendous state. Ah well, I almost gave a glowing review, but just couldn’t.

My stay in the Standard Single Room was awesome! The view from the fourth floor was breathtaking, and the extra heater in the room was a nice touch. Loved being so close to the Devonshire Park. Good value for money overall!

My stay was perfect for exploring the area, as I loved that the hotel was just a short walk away from the beautiful Devonshire Park and several art galleries, including Henry Paddon Contemporary Art and Nigel Greaves Gallery, which were both under 500 meters away, making my weekend city strolls incredibly enjoyable.

I highly enjoyed my stay! My room on the fourth floor offered stunning views of the town, and the peaceful atmosphere made for a truly relaxing visit. The location was ideal, close to Devonshire Park and handy for local attractions.

The lift was antiquated and not inspiring confidence, while the stairways had an unsettling atmosphere with equipment clutter and a dark, gloomy vibe. Plus, there was a noticeable presence of unsavory characters lingering in the lobby area, which didn't add to the stay's overall comfort.

The stay was really enjoyable with a stunning sea view and a cozy room that made it feel like home. I loved relaxing by the pool and unwinding in the hot tub after a long day. The only hiccup was the slightly outdated furniture in the room, but it didn't ruin the good vibes! 😊
